Founded in 1958 by German immigrants & German Americans dedicated to upholding the customs, outfits & traditions of their ancestors. 9th Annual Berthoud Scarecrow Contest
Berthoud, CO, September 12, 2011 – Berthoud Main Street’s annual Scarecrow Contest will be held on Saturday, October 1st, 4 pm at the Berthoud Oktoberfest. After the judging all entries will be displayed on Mountain Avenue during the month of October.
Main Street provides the frames and head, and you supply the creativity and clothes. You can pick up materials and make your scarecrow at home OR come to one of the design dates being held at the Berthoud Community Library District.
- September 26 – 30. Frames and heads can be picked up at the library during regular hours.
- Tuesday, 9/27 & Thursday, 9/29, 3-5 pm. Drop in at the library and make your scarecrow. Bring old clothes for your scarecrow to wear.
Bring your finished scarecrow to the Berthoud Oktoberfest in Fickel Park on October 1st. Judging will take place at 4 pm on the main stage.
